*THIS CHART IS ONLY A PORTION (TOP 30) OF A TOP 50 CHART.
HENCE songs are not deemed to have fallen off the charts UNTIL they are
OUTSIDE/BELOW the top 50 and NOT the top 30 broadcasted on air. This IS
reflected in the year end 'jamz' and explains partially why songs peaking
significantly lower than others may still finish ahead of them on the
year-end charts.

Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way' Grows Atop Grammy-Fueled Hot 100
week after the Billboard Hot 100 welcomed Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" as the 1,000th No. 1 in its storied history, the chart-topping counter remains frozen at that milestone number, as "Born This Way" refuses to relinquish its standing to the other Grammy Awards-fueled contenders that leap up the list.
"Born This Way" improves upon its opening-week sales frame, shifting 509,000 downloads (up 14%), according to Nielsen SoundScan. As reported yesterday, the sum marks the fourth-largest for any digital track.
The song is also the first No. 1-debuting title on Digital Songs to post an increase in its second week, since Beyoncé's "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" in December 2008.
Lady Gaga: 'Born This Way' Cover Story
On Radio Songs, "Born This Way" bump up two places from its record-setting No. 6 debut with a 7% increase to 84 million audience impressions, per Nielsen BDS. That single-digit percentage gain might not seem like much when comparing this week's seven-day cycle to last week's five-day sum, but considering how frequently the track was played upon its debut -- some stations spun it multiple times an hour -- a gain at all after such a heralded launch is impressive.
"Born This Way" leads an all Grammys-fueled top five on Digital Songs, as each of the tracks were featured on CBS' broadcast of the 53rd annual gala Feb. 13.
The festivities' main beneficiary is Cee Lo Green, whose raucous rendition of "F**k You (Forget You)," with guest vocals by Gwyneth Paltrow and a backing band of Muppets, spurs a 178% gain for the track to 412,000 downloads and the No. 2 standing on the digital sales tally.
The song's improvement is enough to earn the title the Greatest Gainer/Digital award on the Hot 100, where it jumps 7-2. It also claims the Greatest Gainer/Airplay tag, as its radio resurgence continues with a 19-14 leap on Radio Songs (up 22% to 62.6 million in audience).
Dr. Dre's long-awaited return to the broadcast stage prompts a 14-3 reversal on Digital Songs and a more dramatic 32-4 Hot 100 scamper, as "I Need a Doctor," featuring Eminem and Skylar Grey, shifts 283,000 downloads (up 172%). Two weeks ago, the song started at No. 1 on Digital Songs and No. 5 on the Hot 100 before exhibiting expected sharp second-week declines last week.
Justin Bieber's energetic Grammy Awards turn with "Never Say Never" propels the song 12-4 on Digital Songs (199,000 downloads, up 67%) and 25-8 on the Hot 100. Of Bieber's now-16 Hot 100 hits -- he also debuts at No. 74 with "Born to Be Somebody" -- "Never Say Never" is, surprisingly, only the second top 10 for the newly-shorn singer. The artist, who opens atop this week's Billboard 200 album chart, previously traversed the upper tier only with "Baby" (No. 5) a year ago this month.
Justin Bieber Scores No. 1 Album with 'Never Say Never Remixes'
Bruno Mars' "Grenade," performed in classic R&B fashion by the singer on the Grammy Awards broadcast, rebounds 8-5 on Digital Songs (180,000, up 25%) and holds at No. 3 on the Hot 100.
Addressing the rest of the Hot 100's top 10, Katy Perry's "Firework" fizzles 2-5, a spot ahead of P!nk's "F**kin' Perfect" (5-6). Rihanna whips 8-7 with "S&M," Enrique Iglesias slips three spots to No. 9 with "Tonight (I'm Lovin' You)," featuring Ludacris and DJ Frank E, and Wiz Khalifa tumbles 4-10 with "Black and Yellow," just two weeks removed from its No. 1 ranking.
New Boyz bank the Hot 100's top new entry, as "Backseat," featuring the Cataracs and Dev (who helped send Far*East Movement's "Like a G6" to No. 1) is the Hot Shot Debut at No. 37. The song previews the duo's sophomore album, "Too Cool to Care," due May 10.
Katy Perry and Mumford & Sons each make lofty Hot 100 returns. Perry's "E.T.," which appeared on the list for a week in September as a "Teenage Dream" preview cut, returns at No. 28 after having been anointed the fourth radio single from the Grammy-nominated set. Assisting its re-entry is the new single version featuring Kanye West, which sells 110,000 downloads in its first week of release, accounting for 92% of the title's overall digital sum (No. 12 on Digital Songs).
Mumford & Sons' "Little Lion Man" re-enters the Hot 100 at No. 45 in its 22nd week on the list, besting its prior peak of No. 61 achieved in November. The Grammy effect not only bumps the band's former No. 1 Alternative Songs track 58-36 on Digital Songs (71,000, up 59%), but it also lifts the act's current top 10 Alternative Songs hit, "The Cave," 68-11 on the digital tally (120,000, up 205%) after the band performed the song on the Grammy stage. On the Hot 100, "The Cave" catapults 68-27.
After exceeding Elvis Presley's long-standing record for most charted Hot 100 hits a week ago (113 to 108), the "Glee" cast ups its count to 117 with four debuts. Two are Justin Bieber remakes -- "Baby" (No. 47) and "Somebody to Love" (No. 62) -- while a cover of My Chemical Romance's "Sing" and the "Rent" anthem "Take Me or Leave Me" start at Nos. 49 and 51, respectively (and MCR's original "Sing" bounds 92-58).
'Glee' Tops Elvis Presley's Record for Most Hot 100 Hits
All four "Glee" tracks premiered on the Bieber-centric episode "Somebody to Love" Feb. 15. At No. 90, the cast's version of "Forget You," featuring Paltrow, re-enters the Hot 100 (having reached No. 11 in December) with a 40% increase in digital sales to 29,000. In all, four songs by Bieber and five by the "Glee" cast populate this week's Hot 100.

R&Beef: Rihanna and Ciara Duke It Out on Twitter
Rihanna and Ciara fans got a taste of R&Beef when the sexy singers got into a war of words on Twitter last night (Feb. 25). Riri took offense to Ci Ci's comments on E!'s "Fashion Police," where Ciara mentioned that her last encounter with the Barbados beauty was less than positive. A few minutes later, Rihanna took to Twitter to retaliate, prompting a cat fight for all the world to see.
Despite the saucy words exchanged, the diva battle was short-lived, as the pair quickly squashed the beef, kissed and made up ... all on Twitter, of course. How ladylike!
